Arctic Burst (Duncan, 2008) TB HM AM

Arctic Burst (Duncan, 2008) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 33 inches, blooming midseason. Standards are cold white, with style arms the same and edged in light lemon-yellow along the crest. Falls are cold white with canary yellow (RHS 9A) shoulders, the lower two-thirds speckled and sometimes lined in bishop’s violet (RHS 81A). Beards are tangerine orange. The blooms are lightly ruffled and carry a slight fragrance. Arctic Burst is the result of Goldkist × Puccini and was introduced by Roger Duncan in 2008. It earned Honorable Mention in 2010 and Award of Merit in 2012.
