Autumn Circus (Hager, 1990) TB RE HM

Autumn Circus is a tall bearded iris introduced by Ben Hager in 1990, growing about 34 inches tall and blooming early in the season with reliable rebloom in favorable climates. The standards are white lightly peppered with blue violet toward the edges, sometimes forming a soft band of color. Style arms are deep violet. The falls are white with bold blue violet lines radiating outward from the white beard, finished with a distinct blue violet plicata edge. This striking plicata pattern gives the bloom a lively, almost fireworks-like appearance in the garden. Autumn Circus is a tetraploid variety bred from ('Space Odyssey' x 'Socialite') crossed with 'Earl Of Essex'. It received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 1994. Rebloom has been widely reported across many regions including California and much of the United States.
