Backdraft (Stout, 2009) TB HM AM

$11.00Price

Backdraft is a tall bearded iris introduced by Hugh Stout in 2009, growing about 38 inches tall and blooming midseason. The standards are warm peach pink infused with red and finished with a subtle gold edge, while the style arms carry a similar peach pink tone. The falls are a rich garnet color with a narrow pink edge and a small pale area on the hafts surrounding the beard. Bright orange red beards add a vivid accent that ties the warm colors of the bloom together. Bred from a cross of Heartland and Broad Shoulders, Backdraft combines dramatic contrast with strong garden presence and has earned both the Honorable Mention in 2012 and the Award of Merit in 2014.
