Beachy Queen (Johnson 2021) TB HM
Beachy Queen, introduced by Thomas Johnson in 2021, is a Tall Bearded iris growing to about 35 inches tall with an early bloom. The standards are a deep toasted watermelon tone with slightly lighter edges, while the falls are a creamy pink with a deeper toasted watermelon area around the beard that washes outward, finished with a soft buff-pink band. Style arms match the standards, and beards are white at the base with tangerine tips, adding a warm highlight. Nicely formed with good substance, this variety has a soft, coastal-inspired color palette with a warm, blended look. It carries a sweet fragrance. Bred from complex Blyth lineage. Awarded Honorable Mention in 2024. A newer introduction that reflects modern breeding with refined color blending and form.
