Bee Boopen (Burseen, 2022) TB

Bee Boopen (Burseen, 2022) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 37 inches, blooming midseason to late. Standards are white with a pale yellow wash and a pale violet midrib. Style arms are pale yellow with a light violet-washed center. Falls are violet-blue (RHS 89C) with blue-washed edges. Beards are especially distinctive, showing brown in the throat, orange in the middle, violet-blue ends, and light blue tips, large and fuzzy in appearance. Blooms feature looping ruffles for added movement and texture. Bee Boopen is the result of Kettle Chrome × seedling 16-6 (‘Haywired’ × ‘Marrying Kind’) and was introduced by Tom Burseen in 2022.
