Calizona Gold (Valenzuela, 2010) TB

Calizona Gold (Margie Valenzuela, 2010) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 34 to 36 inches, blooming late midseason. Standards and style arms are a bright yellow-gold, while the falls match in color and are lined and speckled red throughout, creating a bold and energetic presentation. Beards are orange with orange-red at the tips, and the blooms have heavy substance. This variety was selected as Seedling WSAS-08-B2 from the cross Whispering Spirits x Arizona Sandstone. It was named Favorite Guest in 2012 and received an Honorable Mention in 2014.
