Candy Cane Cutie (Maryott 2000) TB HM
Candy Cane Cutie, introduced by William Maryott in 2000, is a Tall Bearded iris growing to about 35 inches tall with a midseason bloom. The standards are clean white with a soft pale pink midrib, while the falls are white heavily patterned with even maroon veining extending nearly the full length of the petal, softening toward the edges into a narrow white band. Bright tangerine beards provide a vivid contrast against the intricate veining. Nicely formed with good substance, this variety stands out for its crisp patterning and striking candy-striped appearance. Bred from Dance Hall Dandy crossed with an unknown pollen parent. Awarded Honorable Mention in 2004. A proven performer and long-time garden favorite. *Note - this one grows small for me
