Cat's Eye was introduced by Paul Black in 2002 and grows to about 15 inches tall, blooming midseason. This charming Standard Dwarf Bearded iris packs a lot of personality into a smaller package! The standards and style arms are a soft mauve rose while the falls are a striking dark red, heavily veined in black with a wide mauve rose band. Old gold beards with a violet base add an unexpected and beautiful detail. A slight spicy fragrance is an added bonus. Bred from Snugglebug crossed with Buddy Boy. This variety received the Honorable Mention in 2004, the Walther Cup in 2004, the Award of Merit in 2006, and the Cook-Douglas Medal in 2008.
