Cool Jerk (Hugh Stout, 2022), Seedling DN14B, is a standard dwarf bearded iris growing to approximately 14 inches and blooming early to midseason, offering bold contrast in a compact form. Standards open creamy yellow at the base and soften to light cream toward the edges, while the falls are a rich violet-blue (RHS 94A) framed by a crisp quarter-inch white border; flaxen yellow hafts and delicate white veining around the beard add detail, and beard hairs shift from very light violet at the base to bright bumblebee yellow at the tips. Bred from Divenere × Tropical Shoals, this fragrant introduction carries a pronounced musky scent and brings vibrant color impact to the front of the border.
