Double Stitch (Sutton, 2003) TB RE

$11.00Price

Double Stitch (George Sutton, 2003), Seedling H-52, is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 35 inches and blooming early midseason with dependable rebloom reported in California and the Netherlands in USDA Zones 7 and 8. This ruffled white-ground plicata features a narrow, precisely stitched amethyst violet edge (RHS 85B), with the falls showing a few additional violet dots for added detail; blackish plum style arms create dramatic contrast above white beards warmed with yellow in the throat, and the fragrance is slight and sweet. Bred from Bountiful Harvest × G-83 [('Garden Grace' × 'Bountiful Harvest')] and introduced by Sutton in 2005, it remains a refined, high-contrast selection prized for both pattern and repeat bloom.
