Frappe (Monty Byers, 1990) is a tall bearded iris reaching approximately 34 inches, blooming early midseason with rebloom reported. Standards vary from very pale strawberry pink to pinkish white, while the falls are a slightly deeper pale strawberry pink blended with very pale raspberry pink and white striations in the upper third. Beards are orange tangerine, blooms are lightly ruffled, and the fragrance is slightly sweet. Parentage is seedling C-37-2 (Marmalade Skies x Sky Hooks) x seedling C-6-3 (Spirit Of Memphis x Hager horned pink seedling [Moon Mistress x Meek horned seedling]). Rebloom has been reported in California, North Carolina, Nebraska, Oregon, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin in USDA Zones 4 through 9.
