French Lavender (John Painter, 2010) is a tall bearded iris reaching approximately 38 inches, blooming late midseason. Standards are lavender purple blending to a wide mauve edge, with matching lavender purple style arms. Falls are the same tones with mauve edges and gold shoulders. Beards are gold with white at the ends, blooms are laced and ruffled, and the fragrance is spicy. Parentage is Cameo Kiss x seedling L00-63A (Latin Lark x Romantic Evening). Awards include Honorable Mention in 2013.
