Gay Geisha (Olson, 1959) TB HM

$9.00Price

Gay Geisha is a tall bearded iris introduced by Marvin Olson in 1959, blooming midseason at about 32 inches. Soft shell-pink standards rise above rich imperial purple falls delicately edged in the same shell-pink tone, creating a refined and dramatic bicolor effect. The contrast between the cool pink and deep violet-purple gives this vintage variety strong presence in the garden. Bred from complex D. Hall seedling lines crossed with Color Carnival, Gay Geisha earned an Honorable Mention in 1964 and remains a striking example of mid-century iris breeding.
