Glacier Melt (Sutton, 2009) TB HM

Glacier Melt is a tall bearded iris introduced by George Sutton in 2009, growing about 36 inches tall and blooming from early through late season. The standards and style arms are pale sea lavender, while the falls show a lighter lavender center traced with darker veining and framed by a broad dark violet rim. Gold beards with soft lavender tips sit at the center of the bloom. The flowers are well ruffled and carry a slight musky fragrance. Glacier Melt was bred from Airforce One crossed with Snowed In and received the Honorable Mention in 2013. Rebloom has been reported in New Mexico.
