Hi Love (Black, 2018) BB HM

Hi Love (Black, 2018) is a border bearded iris growing to approximately 26 inches, blooming early to midseason. Standards are mid peach washed overall with rose and accented by darker rose veining. Style arms show a mid brown ridge and crest with an apricot-gold edge. Falls are velvety black cherry with a light butter haft lined and sanded in black cherry, blending toward mid caramel. Beards are gold. The blooms carry a slight spicy fragrance. Hi Love is the result of Wild × seedling P24B (‘House Afire’ × seedling L21A: ‘Good Humor’ × ‘Weekend Update’) and was introduced by Paul Black in 2018. It earned Honorable Mention in 2022.
