High Desert (Keppel 2014) TB HM AM
$9.00Price
High Desert, introduced by Keith Keppel in 2014, is a Tall Bearded iris growing to about 40 inches tall with a midseason bloom. The standards are a bright chrome lemon, while the falls have a martius yellow ground that softens to warm white at the center, overlaid with a narrow band of dark greyed red-purple and fine veining across the shoulders. A distinct dart below the beard adds to the intricate plicata pattern. Beards are mustard orange with light purple tones, tying the color palette together. Nicely formed with good substance, this variety stands out for its detailed patterning and contrast. Awarded Honorable Mention in 2017, Award of Merit in 2019, and 2nd Prize at Franciris in 2017.
