Iron Eagle (Sutton, 1999) TB SA RE HM
$11.00Price
Iron Eagle (George Sutton, 1999), Seedling H-214, is a tall bearded iris reaching approximately 37 inches and blooming late midseason with documented rebloom in warmer climates. Standards open off white with an antique gold midrib, complemented by pale lavender white style arms, while the falls are pale lavender white drifting toward light grey for an elegant, antique look; antique gold beards are accented by a confederate blue base and a distinct horn, making this a Space Age (SA) iris with a subtle but unmistakable beard feature. Lightly musky in fragrance and bred from Cloud Baron × Dashing, this Sutton introduction earned Honorable Mention in 2004, with rebloom reported in CA, NM, and TX in USDA Zones 8 and 9.
