Kathy Chilton (Kerr, 2005) TB RE HM AM WM

Kathy Chilton (Kerr, 2005) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 35 inches, blooming late midseason with rebloom reported in suitable climates. Standards are golden yellow, with style arms the same color and faint brownish veining. Falls are plush red-black with faint whitish lines beside the beard. Beards are antique gold. The blooms carry a slight spicy fragrance. Kathy Chilton is the result of Lena Baker × Next Millennium and was introduced by Frederick Kerr of Rainbow Acres in 2006. It earned Honorable Mention in 2008, Award of Merit in 2010, and the prestigious Wister Medal in 2012. Rebloom has been reported in California, with performance depending on planting zone and growing conditions.
