Libra Star (Moores, 1998) TB RE

Libra Star is a tall bearded iris introduced by Walter Moores in 1998, growing about 34 inches tall and blooming in the midseason garden with the potential to rebloom in favorable climates. The blooms are a ruffled medium violet blue, with the falls featuring a distinct white spot that creates a bright contrast against the rich coloring. The beards are yellow, finishing with white tips toward the end. The flowers carry a slight spicy fragrance and show good substance on strong stems. Libra Star was bred from Victoria Falls crossed with Fall Spotlight, and rebloom has been reported in Mississippi and Virginia.
