Lingering Love (Meek, 1986) TB

Lingering Love (Duane Meek, 1986), Seedling B173-1-9, is a tall bearded iris reaching about 36 inches and blooming midseason to late in soft, romantic tones. Standards are a medium pinkish orchid with lighter midrib highlights, while the falls open white framed by a generous ½ inch pinkish orchid edge. Fine dotting along the inner rim deepens toward the hafts, adding texture and depth without overwhelming the bloom. Coral beards tipped in orchid glow against the white ground, and the petals are heavily ruffled with light lacing for a full, feminine presentation. Rebloom has been reported in Nebraska under suitable conditions.
