Magical (Ghio 2007) TB HM AM WM

Magical was introduced by Joseph Ghio in 2007 and grows to about 37 inches tall, blooming from early to midseason. The standards are peach pink while the falls are creamy peach with deeper peach coloring on the shoulders, complemented by light coral beards. The flowers show smooth form with soft blended coloration typical of Ghio breeding lines. This iris was bred from complex Ghio seedling lines involving ‘Rogue’, ‘Quito’, ‘Island Dancer’, ‘Faberge’, ‘Cordoba’, ‘Enhancement’, ‘Peach Bisque’, ‘Bogota’, ‘Lanai’, ‘Manna’, ‘For The Soul’, ‘Treasured’, ‘Tropical Magic’, and a sibling of ‘Natural Blond’. It received the Honorable Mention in 2010, Award of Merit in 2012, and the Wister Medal in 2014.
