Mariposa Autumn (Tasco, 1999) TB RE HM AM
Mariposa Autumn (Richard Tasco, 1999), Seedling 92-25-06-RE, is a 32 inch tall bearded iris that blooms early to midseason with reliable rebloom in many regions. Standards are rosy violet with soft white showing through the center, echoed by rosy violet style arms edged in lemon yellow for a subtle glow. Falls open on a clean white ground with a defined rosy violet band, creating a crisp, high contrast look. Beards show a white base with violet tipped hairs and a touch of gold in the throat, adding depth without overpowering the bloom. Lightly ruffled with a slight sweet fragrance, this Superstition introduction earned Honorable Mention in 2001 and Award of Merit in 2003. Rebloom has been widely reported across Zones 4 through 10, making it a dependable performer in many climates.
