Mysterious Ways (Keppel 2003) TB HM AM

Mysterious Ways, introduced by Keith Keppel in 2003, is a Tall Bearded iris growing to about 40 inches tall with a midseason bloom. The standards are a soft absinthe yellow that deepens toward the base with warm walnut tones and a gentle violet cast, giving the flower a layered, slightly smoky look. The falls are oyster white with a light yellow edge and bright chrome yellow hafts that bring a warm glow to the bloom. Beards are rich yellow to cadmium in the throat. Nicely ruffled with good substance, this variety is known for its unusual color blending and soft contrast. Awarded Honorable Mention in 2006 and Award of Merit in 2008.
