Notta Lemon (Burseen, 2009) TB HM FG AM WM

Notta Lemon is a tall bearded iris introduced by Tom Burseen in 2009, growing about 37 inches tall and blooming from early through late season. The standards and style arms are lemon yellow gold, while the falls are white with lemon yellow gold edges and yellow textured veining. Large gold beards anchor the center of the bloom. The flowers are very ruffled and carry a pronounced spicy fragrance, giving this iris strong presence in the garden. Bred from That’s All Folks crossed with a complex seedling line including Jaw Dropper and Vegas Bound, Notta Lemon has received significant recognition, including Honorable Mention in 2012, President’s Cup in 2013, Favorite Guest in 2013, Award of Merit in 2014, and the Wister Medal in 2018.
