Orangelo (Sutton, 2008) TB

Orangelo is a tall bearded iris introduced by Michael Sutton in 2008, growing about 34 inches tall and blooming in the late midseason garden with the potential to rebloom in favorable conditions. The standards are orange pink edged in apricot yellow, with style arms in warm apricot orange tones. The falls are soft cream to pale lemon with pronounced yellow veining and a warm yellow edge, creating a glowing effect beneath the peach orange standards. Bright tangerine orange beards highlight the center of the bloom. The petals are lightly laced and carry a slight sweet fragrance. Orangelo was bred from Viva Mexico crossed with Bride's Blush and is valued for its warm tones and striking color contrast. Rebloom in California.
