$12.00Price

Penny Lane (Larry Lauer, 1999) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 34 inches, blooming midseason. Standards and style arms are a rich saffron yellow, while the falls are cadmium orange with a darker rim, creating a warm and vibrant contrast. Beards are bright tangerine, and the blooms are ruffled with a lightly laced edge and a slight sweet fragrance. This variety was selected as Seedling 93-334-1 from the cross Voltage x seedling 91-160 derived from Gratuity x Bogota and was introduced through Lauer’s Flowers in 1999. Penny Lane received the Franklin Cook Cup in 2000, Honorable Mention in 2001, and the Award of Merit in 2003, and it is the iris featured in our logo.
