Polar Shift (Mego, 2016) TB HM

Polar Shift (Mego, 2016) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 38.5 inches, blooming late midseason. Standards are ice white, slightly darker at the edges, with style arms in soft ice blue. Falls are deep cornflower blue with slight white markings around the beards and a ¼ inch ice white edge. Beards are orange. The blooms are well ruffled and carry a slight sweet fragrance. Polar Shift is the result of Decadence × seedling AM-02-0889-2 (‘World Premier’ × seedling AM-98-0312-2: ‘Twilight Blaze’ × ‘Night Attack’) and was introduced by Anton Mego in 2016. It earned Honorable Mention in 2021.
