Pride of Ireland (Noyd, 1970) TB RE HM

Pride of Ireland is a tall bearded iris introduced by Luella Noyd in 1970, blooming early to midseason at approximately 32 inches. This distinctive cultivar features a light green-yellow self with a soft green beard, giving it a fresh, almost woodland glow that stands apart from more typical yellows. Bred from Chartreuse Butterfly × Woodland Sprite, it was originally registered as a border bearded iris and received an Honorable Mention in 1972 before being reclassified as a tall bearded in 1973. Its cool green undertones and harmonious coloring make it a unique and quietly striking presence in the garden. Rebloom has been reported in California and Texas.
