Purple Marble (Sutton, 2020) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 36 inches, blooming midseason. Standards are bluebird blue streaked and splashed with white, finished with a thin red-violet wire rim. Style arms are bluebird blue with white streaks. Falls are rich purple streaked and splashed with pure white, creating a marbled effect. Beards are yellow. The blooms carry a slight spicy fragrance. Purple Marble is the result of County of Kent × Peggy Anne and was introduced by Michael Sutton in 2021. It earned Honorable Mention in 2024.
