Rarer Than Rubies (Blyth, 2006) TB

Rarer Than Rubies is a tall bearded iris introduced by Barry Blyth in 2006, growing about 40 inches tall and blooming from midseason to late in the iris season. The standards are a light burgundy rose, while the falls deepen to rich burgundy and plum red tones with a velvety texture. Bright tangerine red beards add a vivid accent at the center of the bloom. The flowers carry a sweet musky fragrance and have strong presence on tall stems. Rarer Than Rubies was bred from Decadence crossed with Ocelot and is known for its deep jewel-toned coloring and elegant form.
