Ruby Baby (Burseen, 2015) TB HM

Ruby Baby (Burseen, 2015) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 36 inches, blooming midseason to late. Standards and style arms have an apricot ground overlaid with tyrian purple (RHS 61C), creating a rich blended effect. Falls are ruby red (RHS 61B), lightly washed with apricot at the edges and showing a slight violet-blue wash below the beards. Beards are maize yellow (RHS 21B). The blooms are very round, wide, and ruffled, carrying a slight musky fragrance. Ruby Baby is the result of Grit × seedling 10-964 (‘Singular Sensation’ × ‘Inchoation’) and was introduced by Tom Burseen. It earned Honorable Mention in 2018.
