Soft Side (Sutton, 2009) TB Fragrant

Soft Side (Michael Sutton, 2009) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 35 inches, blooming late midseason. Standards are soft pink, while the style arms show a yellow base blending into lavender with flesh-toned crests. Falls are periwinkle, lighter around the beards, with violet shoulders and a distinct half-inch rim. Beards are light lavender with yellow in the throat. The blooms are laced, well formed, and carry a pronounced sweet fragrance. This variety was selected as Seedling T-432-B from the cross Barbara My Love x Bride’s Blush and was introduced by Sutton in 2010. Rebloom has been reported in California, particularly in USDA Zone 8.
