Stan Coates is a tall bearded iris introduced by Lesley Painter in 2009, blooming early to midseason at about 39 inches. Clean white standards brushed with a turquoise blue tint on the edges rise above white falls beautifully washed and veined in turquoise blue, deepest toward the rim for a cool, luminous effect. White beards with yellow in the throat brighten the center and enhance the fresh coloration. Bred from Navajo Jewel × Altruist, it earned Honorable Mention in 2013. Rebloom has been reported in California.
