Stolen Sweets (Black, 2009) TB HM AM
Stolen Sweets (Paul Black, 2009) is a tall bearded iris growing to approximately 35 inches, blooming late midseason. Standards are white infused with medium yellow at the base and finished with a narrow yellow-gilt rim, while the style arms are white with medium yellow crests. Falls are white with a narrow yellow-gilt rim that widens at the hafts and shows light greenish-yellow texture veining. Beards are orange in the throat, shifting to yellow-orange in the middle and yellow at the ends. The blooms are ruffled and carry a pronounced sweet fragrance. This variety was selected as Seedling M13BB from the cross Fundamental x Jersey Bounce and was introduced in the Mid-America region in 2009, earning Honorable Mention in 2011 and the Award of Merit in 2013.
