Triple Dip (Black, 2013) TB HM RE

Triple Dip is a tall bearded iris introduced by Paul Black in 2013, growing about 34 inches tall and blooming from early to midseason with the potential to rebloom in favorable climates. The standards are white with a butter yellow center and fine butter yellow veining across the outer third of the petal, finished with a narrow outer band. The style arms are white with butter yellow edging. The falls are dark purple with dark plum purple hafts, a light violet rim, and white mottling over the haft area. The beards show a graduated blend of marigold tones, deeper in the throat and softening toward the tips. The flowers carry a pronounced sweet fragrance and show strong ruffling. Triple Dip was bred from Summer Luxury crossed with Sweetly Sung, then further from a seedling line related to Advantage. It received the Honorable Mention in 2016, and rebloom has been reported in several regions including California.
