Valentino (Painter, 2007) TB HM

Valentino is a tall bearded iris introduced by John Painter in 2007, blooming from early through late season at about 36 inches. Rich cardinal red standards shaded with bronze at the base rise above deep cardinal red falls, darker along the lower edge with subtle variation toward the sides and often highlighted by a variable gold center stripe. Bright gold beards add striking contrast against the saturated red tones. Lightly ruffled and bold in presentation, this Crimson Twist × Golden Panther descendant earned Honorable Mention in 2010.
