Wench (Miller, 1991) TB HM AM
$10.00Price
Wench is a tall bearded iris introduced by Lynda Miller in 1991, growing about 34 inches tall and blooming early to midseason. The standards are soft pink, while the falls are rich plum red violet with a fine pink pencil edge and delicate pink lines surrounding the beard. The beard itself is a vivid tangerine orange that stands out against the darker falls and adds a bright focal point to the bloom. Wench was bred from a cross of Colortart and Ringo and combines strong contrast with good garden performance. This variety received the Honorable Mention in 1995 and the Award of Merit in 1997 from the American Iris Society.
