Wealth (Keppel, 2019) TB HM AM PBF

Wealth is a tall bearded iris introduced by Keith Keppel in 2019, growing about 36 inches tall and blooming in the early midseason garden. The standards are quince yellow with the base and center suffused with slate violet, creating an unusual color contrast. Style arms are yellow with a lavender lip. The falls are an intense dark goldenrod shading toward a brassy tone at the edges, with beards slightly darker than golden glow. The plant is also notable for its purple based foliage, adding interest even when not in bloom. Wealth was bred from a complex lineage including Nouveau Riche, Mysterious Ways, Safari Sunset, Overview, and Stay Stylish. It received the Honorable Mention in 2022 and the Award of Merit in 2025.
